Today we are looking at the Pharaoh Mohamed Salah.
Mo Salah is currently one of the best forwards in the world who plays for both Liverpool and the Egyptian National football team. He is also known as the Egyptian Messi for his style of play and quick movement. A brilliant player both on and off the ball.
He began his football career in Cairo playing for El Mokawloon in 2010. In 2012 Mo then moved to Switzerland to play for Basel where he won his first league title and the SAFP Golden Player Award.
With his impressive skill and goal scoring ability he caught the eye of Chelsea who signed him in 2014 where played a mere 13 appearances. Since he was not really able to break into the first team of Chelsea they decided to send him out on loan where he ended up Fiorentina and then to Roma. At AS Roma he proved he was able to perform consistently under the pressures of playing the starting 11 where he showed he was able to not only create but also score goals.
It was love at first site for Roma who decided he was exactly the player they needed. Mo showed great strength, pace and stamina and was quickly catching the eyes of many top clubs all around the world. While serving only 1 year as a permanent Roma player, the owners saw an opportunity that would financially benefit the club and decided it was time to sell.
Annndd along came Liverpool and Mo Salah was off to Anfield. AT Liverpool Mohamed has managed to achieve his best. He has scored 49 goals in 62 games for the Reds. Which is an astonishing percentage at 79%..
At Liverpool he has formed an amazing partnership with both Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. When the three of them are on the field at the same time you can just about smell the fear of the opposing defenders. Together they have managed to help Liverpool get to the UEFA Champion’s league final in the 2017/2018 season after an incredible semi final with his former club Roma. Mo bringing glory and victory once against to the Reds.
